TO DO WITH US!
Please,
please beware. There
is a massive scam out at the moment, the man and his
company mentioned above have apparently gained a database
of UK contacts. We
should like to point out that these contacts are not from
us; our database integrity is intact and will remain so.
What
they are doing is emailing (in relatively good English but
this does decline) using our company details but NOT our
telephone number; asking you to reply to register your
interest in a programme near you.
After
a few emails in which you are asked for a barrage of
personal detail, you will eventually be asked to make a
Western Union Money transfer to a friend or family member.
This
is where you are lulled into a false sense of security
“it must be kosher” you will be thinking…”after
all, if I make the transfer to my wife, they can’t get
the money right?”
Not
quite. After
you have made the transfer and before your recipient can
pick it up, lovely Mr. Stevens sends you a report to
complete. You
then blithely give him the details of the 10 digit code as
a reference to your transfer in order that he can validate
it and reimburse you the £21 fee or thereabouts and pay
your agent payment.
All
it takes to pick up these funds (and this can be done
anywhere in the world) is this number and fake ID.
He already has the details he needs for the fake ID
from your previous correspondence.
He is milking the lax security in the Western Union
protocol to enable a “long con” to take place.
The
police, trading standards and Watchdog are
aware of the situation and don’t hesitate to contact
them if you have taken things this far.
To
date we have received more than 200 complaints from people
who have spotted the scam.
Unfortunately 2 of these were too late and were
only made aware after their money had gone missing.
These
so called “phishing” emails are not harmless unless
you delete them immediately.
Do beware; if something seems like it’s too good
to be true – it sure is.
The
phone number they provide is not a mobile, goodness knows
how much it costs to call but it’s an international
transfer so quite a bit we imagine!
Needless
to say, Mr Stevens hasn’t been all that keen on talking
to us!

service and product. We send shoppers anonymously into
their locations to order a meal in a restaurant, make a

business. The mystery shopper actslike any normal

the visit, the shopper send in a report, question or
comment about the events that happened during the visit.
The information should be objective only and should
contain only the facts about the visit. The shopper is
reimbursed for the meal or purchase up to the maximum
amount set by the client.
In
some cases, the shopper is also paid a fee for filling out
the forms and in cases where there is no reimbursement,
the shopper is paid a flat fee for completing the
assignment.

you decide to become a Member of Impact Mystery Shopping
Ltd and Incentive Programs
Smart shopper, you would be an independent contractor. You
would have the option to accept or decline any assignment
we offer you.
However,
if you do accept an assignment, you must fulfill the

the assignment according to our instructions in order to
be insured reimbursement and/or payment. Once you accept
